Hexagon is proud to announce that we are now a Commercial Partner of the Heritage Railway Association, reinforcing our commitment to supporting the preservation and continued development of the UK’s historic rail sector. This partnership marks an important step in strengthening our relationships within a vibrant industry that blends engineering excellence, heritage conservation and the passion of thousands of dedicated volunteers and professionals.
The Heritage Railway Association is the UK-wide trade body representing heritage railways, tramways, cliff railways, museums and rolling stock owners. Serving as the authoritative voice of the sector, the organisation leads on best practice, compliance, innovation and collaboration. By acting as a bridge between heritage operators, government departments, regulators and industry experts, the Association plays a central role in ensuring that heritage railways continue to thrive for future generations.
With more than 300 members across the British Isles, the Heritage Railway Association brings together an extraordinary range of organisations, from large heritage railways operating historic steam locomotives to short electric tramways and unique miniature railways. Collectively, these operations contribute significantly to conservation, tourism, education, training and local regeneration, while also helping to preserve the UK’s engineering legacy.
Ian Bald, Managing Director of Hexagon, commented: “Becoming an HRA Commercial Partner highlights our continued commitment to supporting and working alongside the heritage rail sector. We’re delighted to contribute our expertise to organisations preserving, maintaining, and enhancing the UK’s historic railways.”
Our partnership with the Heritage Railway Association enables Hexagon to further support the sector with high-quality technical services, collaborative project delivery and innovative solutions designed specifically for heritage railway environments. We look forward to working closely with HRA members to help safeguard the operational, structural and cultural value of these important assets.
