Structural Engineer

Hexagon is looking for ambitious people to join our growing team.

HEXAGON is looking for an ambitious Structural Engineer to join our growing team and further their career in the civil engineering industry. You will work within our Design team and manage the business’s structural engineering delivery. You will join an enthusiastic and driven team supporting your career development.

Accountabilities

  • Lead, manage and develop
  • Production of technical details
  • Production of structural calculation packages
  • Production of bar bending schedules
  • Conduct 3rd party checks on Category III designs
  • Checking of design submissions
  • Represent Epsilon Design Engineers at client meetings
  • Act as Contractors Responsible Engineer (CRE) for rail projects
  • Provide assistance to the Contractors Engineering Manager (CEM) on rail projects
  • Champion the in-house standards library specifications section
  • KPI Reporting and Data collation

The Person

  • Computer literate and proficient with structural engineering packages and MS Office
  • Knowledgeable within current design, rail and British standards
  • Must be a hardworking individual who is willing to learn
  • Must have effective written and verbal communication
  • Experience in the industry is essential
  • Should be able to focus on attention to detail
  • Must be able to manage their time efficiently

The Specifics

  • Location: Morley, Leeds
  • Hours: 08:00 am – 17:00 pm
  • Contract: Full-time/Permanent
  • Salary: Competitive based on experience
